Raising Effectiveness of Social Advertising in Russia

Project Results Debriefing

Moscow, June 21, 2010 

     June 21, 2010, 14.30-17.00, Moscow, Library For Foreign Literature, American Culture Center. We will present the main results of the international project “Raising Effectiveness of Social Advertising in Russia by Adopting Successful International Experience”. Key achievements of the program will be covered. We will also demonstrate results of the unique polls devoted to the situation with social advertising in various regions of Russia and countries of the world. Polls review has been prepared by the Coalition of NPOs for the Development of Social Advertising in Russia.

     William Novelli, an outstanding expert of social marketing, co-founder of one of the world’s largest Public Relations Agency “Porter Novelli”, Distinguished Professor of Georgetown University (Washington), will present a number of recent cases of social advertising campaigns (Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids) during a direct video connection from Washington, USA.

     Debriefing guests will also get a chance to see reviews of the most interesting cases of one of the project’s main partners – The Ad Council.

     VideoPort Company will provide technical support to ensure that the project’s partners from over 10 regions of Russia participate in this videoconference.

     The project has been implemented throughout the term starting March 2009 and till June 2010 by the Laboratory of Social Advertising, initiated by the Coalition of NPOs for the Development of Social Advertising in Russia, supported by IREX Media Partnership Program and USAID. It aims to create stable and developing expert community in social advertising in Russia, to establish and maintain effective communications for the Russian and foreign social advertising professionals, also to produce and spread more effective social ads in the participating regions of Russia.
